My family and I spent for nights at the Hotel Collodi, and it was a really wonderful way to enjoy our time in Florence. The hotel is cosy, very clean and and make us feel at home from the first day. Giovanni and Nadine are very helpful and friendly. Service was superb, no complains at all. We had a quadriple suite (for 4 adults and one child) with so much space, that it didn't feel at all cramped or uncomfortable. The location of Hotel Collodi is only a few minutes away from most attractions in Florence wich make this choice even more attractive. For sure, if we decided to go back to Florence, we will stay at Hotel Collodi.

My wife and I stayed at Hotel Collodi in May. My wife had stayed there in '05 and wondered if Giovanni would remember her. He did! I can not say enough good things about Giovanni. He made us feel right at home. Our room was very spacious and clean. Great price too. When we checked out, Giovanni walked outside with us and watched us leave until we turned the corner to the train station. We will stay at Hotel Collodi again.

The Hotel Collodi was such an amazing find. Centrally located near the Duomo and the central market, it is a shoppers paradise! Giovanni was so friendly and helpful to us both before our trip and while we were in Florence. This hotel is so unassuming from the outside but the rooms were comfortable and clean. Each room has such unique character, you don't know what you will get! Our friends had a room with an old well and our room had a beautifully painted ceiling and a great view.

I give this the highest marks, you definitely get more than you pay for with this gem.

My husband and I recently returned to Hotel Collodi, after our wonderful stay there a year ago. Giovanni was again at the reception desk, and he greeted us like old friends. The location (near the San Lorenzo market, and an easy walk from the train station) is excellent. The atmosphere is nice. The place is spiffy clean. Our only complaint is the breakfast, and this is a complaint about continental breakfasts in general. We would like something warm (eggs and bacon!) for breakfast. Happily, there are cafes nearby, and a wonderful grocery story a half block away. We are already planning our return to Hotel Collodi in 2012.
