This is quite a crappy hostel: badly maintained and not secure. It doesn't have a "home" feel at all - those who write about it have probably never been to good "feel at home" hostels. The only good thing about this hostel is location - it's really in the very center. However, since the center of Florence is very compact, staying in a better hostel but 10 minutes of walking away could be a wise solution.

I stayed in this hostel on my first night in Florence and was pleasantly surprised by it's quaint appearance. It is more like a home than a hostel. he staff were friendly, after check-in they provided me with a map and gave me advice where to visit which I found very helpful. They also recommended lots of good places to eat and go out at night such as the Florence pub crawl. I appreciated the use of the kitchen, you have full use of he facilities such as fridge, stove, oven, plates and cutlery. The hostel is very clean, every morning the staff would clean all the rooms. It is a small hostel so you get to meet all the other guests which is nice, I prefered this arrangement to some of the huge hostels I have stayed in. The deal on the internet is fantastic, for 2 euros you can use it all day!

This hostel is highly recommended, I thouroughly enjoyed my time here.

The only twin room is located in the kitchen!!
It smells food and it is also very noisy at night because of the other gests using the kitchen.

Although it is informed at hostel world website that it has internet access, it was not working.
And also there were no towels available for us but it was informed in the website that it is included in the price.
Breakfeast was also included in the price but it was a great decepcion : a dry croissant and a juice! Only this!
And in the second day not even this great breakfeast appeared!
