I'm a bit surprised to see the poor reviews that have been attributed to this hostel! "Giuseppe" who runs the place is a true character - he added such a warmth and friendliness to the experience. I thought it was an excellent and highly affordable place to stay, in a great location only a few minutes walk away from the train station. My only constructive criticism would be that it is quite dimly lit inside, and I couldn't find the light switch to the stairway coming back late at night. Also there was only one bathroom in a room shared by six, but we all got up at different times so none of us were left waiting. Overall it was a lovely hostel.

What a crap hostel.
There are so many rules and regulations and the guy who owns it is not nice at all.. his totally fake.
The lock out is stupid from 10-2pm.. or something.
The guy who owns the hostel charges you for keeping bags the day you check in and out of the hostel, he talks about his customers while they are in the same room.
He doesn't let you use the internet, even though he charges for it, and recommends you go across the street to use it.
it can't even be considered a hostel, it's more like coming to a strangers house and crashing for the night.

We loved this charming little hostel. It has only 5 rooms so there is a really intimate feel. We stayed in a private double with private bathroom. The room was spacious, brightly painted and filled with light. The bathroom, kitchen facilities, and bedrooms are newly redone as well. Everything was spotless and well maintained. The owner, Giuseppe is very sweet and strives to make your stay excellent. He even greeted us with ice cream sandwiches on check in! There are also laundry facilites and an outdoor clothes line to dry clothes. Very central area in walking distance to the duomo and other sites. Would definitely come back and recommend to friends!!!
