We stayed ath the Cosmopolitan Hotel in October, 2012. It is a very well maintained and clean hotel and in a good location. We had a car and were told their parking lot was full and we could park across the street. That parking was supposed to be for residents and so maybe we would have received a parking ticket if we parked there. We were assured the police never come. We had a rented car and didn't want to take any chances. We were lucky and my husband noticed one of the guests was leaving and we took his spot. The hotel charges for WiFi, 5 Euros for 24 hours for one computer. We had stayed in 7 hotels and Bed and Breakfasts in Italy and this was the only one that charged for WiFi. Not only that, but the signal was weak. The breakfast in the Cosmopolitan was good. The typical things: pastry, cheese, lunch meats, scrambled eggs, cooked ham, cappucino, fruit and juices, yogurt, etc. This is a very modern hotel and a big change from the old buildings we had stayed in. I was not crazy about the frosted glass door to the bathroom which just swung open and closed. Didn't give a complete sense of privacy. But the room was great otherwise. The staff was very helpful and friendly. We were recommended a restaurant close by, but opted instead to cross the street to Pizza...We stayed ath the Cosmopolitan Hotel in October, 2012. Bring your Italian translator with you! The waiter did not speak English and the menu was in Italian only. They helped us pick out something to eat. I would definitely stay at the Cosmopolitan again and highly recommend it.More
