“Excellent Family-owned Hotel in Florence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 July 2011

It is possible to find the hotel by street numbers, there is only a small sign next to door. The hotel is situated in a calmer area, not far from the historical centre. The old building has two floors: lower floor is for guests and the host family lives on the upper floor. There is a common vestibule with a kitchen, where breakfast is served, and a common terrace. Enrico, the owner of the hotel and the host, was very helpful and kind. He gave us a map, showed us important landmarks, restaurants, ice-creamers, bus routes etc. He let us use all accessories in the kitchen, helped us with car-parking and prepared the breakfast every morning. Everything was clean, very nice and well-furnished. We enjoyed our stay very much. There was really nothing to complain about. Hotel B&B Cimabue 9 is an excellent choice!

Room Tip: All rooms are very nice!

“It was great”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 27 June 2011

The hotel was amazing! Our host Enrico was so helpful and welcoming, gave us a city map and a wonderful tips on food and sights.

The room was simple and cosy, with high ceilings, air conditioning, high-speed (!) internet connection, very clean and tidy. It had an entrance to a lovely outdoor terrace. Bathroom was big enough and spotless.

We really enjoyed our breakfast with cereals, cookies, delicious coffee and chatting with other guests. The location was perfect for us, 15 min walk from the city center with all the sights, 3 min to the river, with shops and restaurants nearby. It really felt like staying at a friends'.

Great value for money, highly recommended!

“A Real Gem in a Real Neighborhood”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 14 June 2011

Having never stayed at a B and B before but yet wanting to extend our European vacation after coming off a cruise, we thought the B&B circuit would be the way to go that would allow us to do that. What a gem both this BandB and Enrico turned out to be. He was so helpful in coming out to meet us at 11:30 p.m. on a Saturday night, carrying our luggage upstairs, recommending restaurants, securing us a Tuscany Wine Bus Tour, bus transportation, etc. The breakfast portion is in a little cafe downstairs that makes delicious cappuccinos.

The B and B is about a 12 minute walk to the Uffizi, and is located in a REAL residential area with decent priced restaurants. It is about 4 blocks from the river and once you saunter down there, I swear you will fall in love with Florence.....

100% Florential apartments. Nice room with fresco painting on ceiling. It were glad to wake up and see it every morning.
Absolutely friendly stuff. We were glad to find clean room every evening after allday excursion. Thanks to ms. Maria-Gracie and mr. Ricco for carrying about our comfort, clean room and free bed for kid.

“Just like home!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 May 2011

If you are coming to Florence for any amount of time, do yourself a favor and stay at Cimabue 9. Located just a 5 minute (11 euro) taxi ride from the train station. In a very nice neighborhood. Feels very safe. It is in a great location, not in the heart of the tourist loud areas, yet just a short walk away!
The host, Enrico was more than accommodating. The rooms, linens, and bathroom was absolutely spotless and cleaned daily. He gave us wonderful recommendations for food and sights. If you have a question he has an answer. He lives upstairs so if you every need anything he is very close.
My favorite part is the outdoor terrace. My boyfriend and I would sit outside for hours every night enjoying wine and music. You also get vouchers to a quaint little cafe to redeem for breakfast/lunch. They have actual cash value so it doesn't matter what time you go or what you choose.
If you are looking for a hidden jewel great for couples, families or the solo traveler this is the place. Rates are amazing also. We could not believe the quality for the price. I honestly cannot say enough wonderful things!
