My wife and I stayed in the smaller unit for five nights. It's basically a large efficiency apartment--modern, clean, comfortable and completely insulated from street noise. (The website photos, apparently taken with a very wide-angle lens, make it look larger than it is, but it is still plenty spacious, including the bathroom.) Two locked doors separate it from the street, so it feels secure. The central heating works well, and is adjustable with a thermostat. (We did not need air conditioning as we were there in October. ) The kitchen is minimally but adequately equipped should one want to cook. Prior guests had left many of the basics, olive oil, sugar, salt, tea, coffee, so we didn't have to buy these things. Fresh towels were provided every few days. Unlike many other apartments for rent, there are no extra charges for cleaning, linen, internet, etc. Tomasso lives downstairs and seems to be home most of the time, in case you need anything. By the way, he requires cash payment--no credit cards. I would definitely recommend Firenze Loft to others. It's well away from the tourist areas in a local neighborhood, yet not far from the train station and points of interest. My only "complaint" is that when a noisy couple moved into the adjoining unit we could hear their loud late-night conversations clearly through the walls. (But when I rapped on the wall a couple of times and they quieted down immediately.)
