The villa looks like it was updated in the 70s, but is very comfortable and clean. Our rooms did not have blow dryers or alarms clocks, so next time we'll need to remember that. We had a very nice stay. It was quiet, we felt safe, and there was ample parking. We did not plan to spend a lot of time in our rooms so it was perfect for the price and our trip. Not for someone looking for a luxury hotel.

Me and my wife stayed here October 2011, while looking at the past reviews we were a little worried as there are a few bad ones. But as I work in the hotel world, know that people can use TripAdvisor as a tool to vent anger problems. The room and the whole stay was fantastic. Buses are easy to use and run till late to get into the center of Florence. The villa was lovely and decorated only way the Italians know how.The grounds to the Villa are beautiful and well kept.
Can I just add a message to other TripAdvisor users, please can you think about what you write on here as it can make good Businesses seem bad when they are excellent.

The hotel was nice enough. Beds were comfortable, room was done in traditional "Italian" style. However, the hotel charged us for one nights accommodation on the day that I made the reservation AND charged us again on the day we checked out. Despite numerous attempts to contact them and have the second charge reimbursed, they have refused to reply to my emails and phone calls.

We, family of 6, stayed in the Magnolia Suite. Clean rooms, 2 spacious rooms and one a bit smaller. The rooms had comfortable beds.
We asked for blankets and got it right away.
You get into the estate, from an urban neighbourhood, through a narrow gate, to a nice, quite place in natural environment. It is a 10 minutes drive from the center of Florence (the railway station).
The suite has an attached terrace viewing the garden. great for relaxation in the morning.
Breakfast was good and plenty. We had cereals with milk, yougurt, rolls, croissants, cheese, jam, coffee, tea, chocco drink.
Lee took care of everything: the check-in procedure, the extra blankets, breakfast and check-out.
Note: When we arrived, Lee was out and the door was locked. There was a note to get her on the phone. Since we did not have a cell-phone, we went around the villa and an old lady let us in and we called from the phone inside. You should have a cell-phone or talk to the villa ahead of time to make sure that they are expecting you.
