This B&B was a good value at 75 Euros a night, but it was about a 10 minute walk from the train station & 20 minutes from the heart of Florence. The air conditioned rooms were cozy & quiet, and the mattress was made out of memory foam (yay). The room was clean for the most part, except for the mosquitoes that were swatted all over the walls (probably from the river across the B&B)...seeing other people's blood and smashed mosquitoes made me feel a little like we were in a cheap motel. Besides a small mildew problem, the bathrooms were somewhat clean. The breakfast was pretty mediocre and was left in the room every morning (for the next day) and consisted of a prepackaged croissant, roll, juice, jams & butter. There is also a free espresso machine in the lobby which was just ok. This B&B can definitely make improvements.

Directions are correct, but make sure you read them.

around 10 minutes walk to the center of Florence and the train station. Make sure you update them as its not a hotel that you think it is. It's in a building with several other B&Bs. trust us, give them a good approximate time. Lucky for us we were early and they were there.

Room is VERY spacious and the shower is hot. Breakfast is prepacked and given the day before, but similar to other B&Bs we've stayed in Europe. It has a/c.

The owner was really nice and drew all over the map he gave us of places to go and see. Any questions, just ask him.

I can't praise the owners of Antiche Armonie enough for the quality of service they provided; the rooms were beautiful, spacious, and had wonderful lighting from the large floor-to-ceiling windows. All in all, an excellent place to stay.

The drawback was that all of the tourist sites in Firenze and most of the restaurants are to the east of the Firenze S.M.N. train station and Antiche Armonie is on the west. The walk wasn't far (a comfortable ten to fifteen minute walk), but it precluded us from returning to the B&B to change from our day trip clothing to something less sweaty for the evening, especially after our day trip to Cinque Terre.

This is definitely a B&B worth staying at, but you must be prepared for a bit of distance when you book here.

My wife and I stayed at Antiche Armonie for 14 nights. The clean, airy, en-suite, air-conditioned and spacious room was more than we expected for the daily rate quoted. Breakfast was generous and the location, so close to the train station and yet in a safe and quite neighbouhood, was perfect.

The owner's friendliness and welcoming smile used to make us believe we have known him for years.

The daily rate was very reasonable considering that similar B&Bs in Florence can be very expensive.

We think we were very lucky in selecting this place. Booking the wrong B&B for such an extended holiday would have been disastrous.
