“Bellissimo! Grazie Giorgio & Silvia!”

We spent 8 nights here based on a recommendation from friends and were not disappointed. The location was ideal & the view of the Duomo from our room was stunning. Giorgio & Silvia were very welcoming and a great source of advice re places to eat, public transport and things to see and do and we enjoyed our chats with them over breakfast every morning. Our room was very comfortable and warm - we didn't need the heater even though it was winter. It was great to have tea & coffee making facilities in the room. The shower was piping hot. Breakfasts were very filling with cereal, yoghurt, croissants, toast, lovely jams, cheeses, fruit juices & sweet biscuits and cake. We would definitely stay here again if we visit Florence in the future.

“A wonderful Florence visit”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

The location is perfect, the breakfast is good, the view from the breakfast patio is completly as promised. The rooms are verycomfortable and the host's are great. The hosts are more than willing to provide infromation on their city, and help the guest out in any way they are able.

“No other place I'd rather stay in”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 19 December 2011

Our stay in Florence couldn't have been more perfect- thanks to Sylvia, Giorgio and Merly at Residenza Giotto. Florence was our next city stop after Venice and it was so wonderful to come "home" to this quaint B&B. The location (right beside the Duomo and a few blocks away from everything else that is wonderful about Florence) made it a perfect home base.
Before I even got to Italy, Sylvia emailed me and asked what time they should expect our arrival. After a couple of email exchanges, she also made reservations for dinner at Sostanza for me, my husband and 2 other friends.
Giorgio warmly welcomed us when we arrived. After settling us in, he gave us a city map and made some recommendations for lunch. He pointed us to Trattoria Marione (very near the B&B) and we loved it!
The old world elevator shaft at Giotto also added to its charm. I enjoyed every bit of our stay here and would not hesitate to recommend it to people who want the feeling of "home" instead of a hotel. There's something very warm and comforting about this place that I wouldn't trade it for any of the other more "posh" accommodations in Florence.

“Perfetto!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 11 December 2011

The location of this B&B cannot be beat. It is literally right around the corner from the Duomo and walking distance to everything. We absolutely adored Silvia and Giorgio. From the minute we stepped through the door, they could not have been more helpful...maps, tours, restaurant recommendations, you name it. One restaurant was so good we went for dinner twice -- Quatro Leoni. The rooms were very clean, the AC worked great, and the veiws from our room of the Duomo were breathtaking. We loved being woken every morning to the sound of the Duomo bells. Breakfast was exactly what we needed to start our busy days in Florence and the terrace was great to start and end our day. If we ever return to Florence, there is NO other place we would stay!!

“In the center of everything”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 December 2011

Residenza Giotto is located in a perfect location with a terrace view of the Duomo. Clean rooms and friendly staff. Private bathroom, which can be hard to find in some Italian hotels and B&B's. The only negative, would be the noise from the streets, but again, you are in the center of Florence so that's a small price to pay for the location.
