We came to Florence and were happy to spend 140Euro for the two nights. We only needed a base, with a good breakfast and a place to sleep. We were happily surprised and enjoyed our time here. The room was average sized for Italy, however the bathroom (Room 309) actually had a bath that was nice to use after a long day walking the streets of Florence. The staff happily took our luggage prior to checkin as we had arrived on an early train that morning.
The hotel was a bit strict about using the minibar fridge for external items, but we used it anyway, Im sorry but I never really pay for a mini bar drink and buy my own elsewhere. The hotel itself appeared to be a bit of a labyrinth and our room was on a separate - yet connected building, but this was ok! The heating was controlled through reception, but if I got too hot I opened the window for a bit.
We found one of the reception staff (female) a bit over stressy, but apparantly they were very busy due to the MAN FASHION shows going on at the time and they were heavily booked (not our problem), but the second day they had all left and things were much quieter. The lady running the Saturday breakfast was lovely and chatty and very friendly.
A nice stay. Good value for money.
