We found this hotel to be situated in a good location. Close to the railway station. The market is right outside the door. Great for shopping! The hotel itself was a bit of a dissapointment for us though. Our room was small, dark and gloomy. We had a twin room which only had one window which could not open and looked out onto a small courtyard which was open to the weather and seemed to be used only for storing odds and ends. You had to put the lights on in the room even during the day. No ventilation except for the air con. It was clean though and so was the bathroom. Unfortunately, the day we arrived it rained and hailed. This blocked the stormwater drains all through the city. The small courtyard next to our room also flooded and water ended up all through the hotel hallway. I realise that this was not the fault of the hotel but then all that night, all we heard was water dripping in to the couryard. Hence we were awake nearly all night. It seemed that the waste water pipes came down inside the walls of our room as whenever someone in the rooms above us flushed their toilets, all we could hear was a rush of water.... all night. The beds squeaked each time you moved. The reception staff were really friendly and helpful though. Breakfast was average. It was noisy at night with other guests coming and going till the early hours. There is another hotel above which shares the stairwell and lift which I think contributes to the extra noise. We booked out after only staying 2 nights out of 3 and found another hotel so we could get some sleep.
