I didn't actually stay here. This review is based on what I experienced while visiting family who stayed here (they had 4 rooms total).

The rooms at Soggiorno Gloria are pretty basic; equipped with beds, an armoir/closet and a TV. Only one of the rooms had a private bathroom; the rest of the rooms had to share a bathroom down the hall. The place reminds me of a college dorm. They have a machine in the hall where you can get espressos, lattes, hot chocolate, etc for dirt cheap.

Pro: rooms were affordable (and most importantly CLEAN), located close to the Santa Maria Novella train station.

The hotel was clean and the staff was very nice but I couldn't sleep the first night because the mattress was very uncomfortable. The next day I asked for some extra sheets and it made it a bit better. It is very close to the train station but there are definitely some nicer streets.

Soggiorno Gloria is in a narrow busy street in central Florence. Many cars and tourists are passing there, but you can shut any unwanted noises out by closing the double glazed windows. Rooms are quite big for the price and the location, and feature tea and coffee making facilities and a fridge. They don't do breakfast and there are no areas to sit apart from your own room.

It's not really a Hotel but it's a great deal around florence!!! The room we got was very nice and big. Very clean, confortable beds, big a nice bathroom! don't expect much more than a room, that is why i tell u it's not a hotel!!! The staff was nice. The guy who recieved us in the afternoon was very polite, helpful and cheerful!!..

I definately recomend this place for a stay in florence!! very nice free wifi

If you have sleeping problems i'd recomend asking for a room inside or looking for something else coz it can get very noise in the early early morning in the street!!!
