Staying here on 25/26 August& am writing this review. Its a total steal at €50 excl wifi
- atleast €15-20 off similar hotels in the area

Its 3 min walking distance from the Firenze SmN station and 5min from the Duomo. Lovely location and everything is walking distance. There's a big n CHEAP flea market (3-7pm) in the lane behind Monica - highly recommended!

The rooms were modern,super clean, spacious (our room had an extra bed), lots of power points, nicely done up with *central aircon*.

Leonardo is a cool guy - he's recovering from a bike accident but is always ready to help and ever smiling - he came up (with crutch) to our floor when we didnt follow instructions & failed to get the aircon working.

The wifi is paid but is a good deal at €5
All in all, highly recommended - but note no lifts in here.

Initially, it was not easy to find the hotel. We used printed out google map as direction, but apparently, the google map has confused with the numbering system in florence... they can be two same numbers but different colour... We were roaming around Via Faenza and couldnt find the Monica Hotel untill we asked somebody for direction. Quiet confusing.

When we bell the hotel, we enter and we were so surprised with the entrace and staircase that very dull and gloomy. But when we enter the reception hall, it was nice, clean and cosy. and the room also nice. the sharing bathroom also clean and huge!

My room come with huge balcony and i like it so much!

Come and stay here... for the best price, as for the room with sharing bathroom -- dont worry, you are not gonna Q-ing to use the bathroom coz you are sharing the bathroom with only few rooms.

I stayed in Hotel monica during my honeymoon in firenze. For the location, it's very convenient becase it's quite near the bus/train station and the mercado central. For the room cleanliness, the room is cleaned on a daily basis. The most surprising part is its breakfast. Although simple but good and, if the weather is nice, you can eat outside with the sunshine! If i need to point out one possible weakness, that would be its bed quality. It's kinda soft and not good for me; but it still depends on everyone's perspective. However, for a hotel situated in this nice location, with nice master Leonard and its wonderful price, I can't ask more!!

Good place, 10 mins walk from the city center.
The price was average, the room was clean, the breakfast was goood:-)
