Apart from a cental location this hotel has little to offer. Rooms appear pretty clean but I received alot of insect bites during my very short stay. Morning coffee was lovely but otherwise the breakfast conisted to a tasteless prepackaged croissant - no meats, cheese, eggs - no even a piece of fresh bread. As the owners need to buzz you in the entrance they requested I be back at the hotel by 1.30 am... so late night clubbing isn't really possible if you stay here. This is my second trip to Florence and the quality of the low cost hotels seems generally very bad. On another night I had a hotel in Pisa for the same price that was 100% better.

Don't trust this hotel. They charged our credit card for 660 euros they were not owed and refused to refund the money. Find another hotel.

We stayed here for 3 nights and enjoyed our stay. The hotel is in a good location, walking distance to the train station and the many attractions in Florence. Our hosts were friendly and extremely accommodating. They helped us get reservations to the Uffizi and the Accademia (highly recommended) and get tickets to see Fiorentina, Florence's soccer team. The room and bathroom were impeccably clean. The only downside was the noise from the restaurant below on Saturday night. The other nights it was fine. (Ask for a room that faces the courtyard instead of the street.) Also, there was no hot water one morning. But other than that we really enjoyed our stay! A great hotel for budget travelers!

I checked in at the 2-star rated san lorenzo,expecting what one expects from a (only)2-star hotel,but found way more.I stayed 3 nights at the san lorenzo and found a perfectly clean room,with a perfectly clean private bathroom.Room number 1 where I stayed is very spacious,and altough the hotel is very centrally situated in generally noisy Florence I slept perfectly quiet since the hotel has rooms turned away from the street.So exellent value for money.Don't hesitate to book!!
