We stayed in the Quad room for 4 nights. I stayed there with 3 other friends. The room was very large and we had plenty of space for all of our luggage. The bathroom was large as well. However, there was only one. The breakfast was great. They had croissants and ham with some delicious yogurt and jams. The location was perfect for us, since we arrived by train. It was literally a five minute walk from the train station. It was also very close to the duomo and other sightseeing attractions. Florence is beautiful!

This hotel is in an excellent position looking onto the Santa maria Novella. It is especially handy if you arrive by train or bus as the hotel is just round from the station. The hotel is decorated in a very a modern monochrome style which was quite interesting. Our room was very clean and the maid service was efficient. Our room was a very large superior room facing the square but it was a little dimly lit. Reception and breakfast staff were friendly and efficient. Breakfast was good and plentiful. Overall this hotel could not have been better situated right in the heart of Florence and represents excellent value for what we paid. It was a little noisy outside in the square at night but this is no different from any other city and one should not be surprised by this.Inside the hotel we didn't hear a sound from other rooms or other guests.

In this price range, this hotel rates as the worst hotel I ever stayed in. The highlights are the location (super), the service at reception (nice and friendly), and breakfast (resonable), but that’s about it. The room we were given was so dark that literally we used a torch to find stuff in our bags. No idea if it ever was cleaned, one simply cannot see. It smelt of “stuff”, the door did not lock from inside, and a 2" hole in the door filled with toilette paper for privacy,the bed was of poor quality, but we had a small flat screen TV and a small fridge. The bathroom was tiny but it had new fittings and everything worked as it should in there.
If you like dark and dingy hotels with black as the main décor color, this is for you.
