This was our 3rd trip to Florence and this B&B makes our trip so very special. My husband and I left on a day trip to Cinque Terre and got caught in the devastating flood/mud slides. We were unable to be rescued until the next day and worried that we would not have a place to stay in Florence since we were to check out that morning to head to Venice. We arrived back at the Residenza d'Epoca that afternoon and they treated us like family. They asked us if we needed ANYTHING just to ask. Since we had to cancel our trip to Venice we found ourselves without a hotel. The owners were gracious enough to let us stay in our room an extra 2 nights and refused to charge us!!
Thank you to the entire staff and owners!!! I can't wait to visit you again next year. By the way, if you ever want to visit South Padre Island Texas, you have full access to our condo (no charge). Thanks Again, Sincerely Preston and Andrea Hance

We stayed 4 nights in Dante (a standard double room) and found it very pleasant, with lots of wardrobe and drawer space. The superking bed was very comfortable and the linen and towels were of excellent quality. The wooden flooring and traditional furniture created a lovely atmosphere. The room didn't have a view of the piazza but had the benefit of being very quiet.

The location is perfect; 2 minutes from the Uffizi in one direction and the Bargello museum in the other, and just a few minutes to the Duomo, Ponte Vecchio, Piazza della Republica and Santa Croce - I don't think you could ask for better. Also the Frescobaldi Restaurant next door is very good.

The hotel staff couldn't have been more helpful or friendly. Breakfast (particularly the coffee) were very good and served at the large dining table, giving guests the opportunity to chat and swap sightseeing tips.

Wifi worked well in the bedroom and the water dispenser just outside was very convenient.

We didn't find the stairs a problem and there is a small lift for luggage which can fit one person at a time if needed.

We will recommend this B and B to our friends without hesitation.

We were treated like true guests in Sonia's house. Her genuine smile made us feel welcomed and at home. The entire staf was so friendly and assisted us (saved us from the perils of our evil navigation system) from the middle of the piazza and the oncoming police. Our room, the Leonardo, was very comfortable, clean, and had great views onto the piazza. The bathrooms were very nice, sizable, and clean with lots of useable counter space and good lighting for makeup application (for you attempts look fab instead of scary). The breakfast was very good, great espresso. The location could't be better. We will definitely be back! Thank you for your kind hospitality!

We chose to stay four nights at the Residenza d' Epoca because of the friendly reviews and high ratings we read and because of the perfect location. Though first time bookings online can be risky, we were not at all disappointed.

We stayed in the Leonardo room, both modern and spacious with a bit of a view of the Piazza. The bathroom was more than ample, with a comfortably sized shower, nicely tiled and a fresh change of large shower towels daily!

Although there is no elevator, there is a luggage lift to facilitate your arrival and departure. The office is open throughout the day and the staff is very helpful and cheerful. Both Monica and Sebastiani provided us with terrific restaurant suggestions.

A breakfast consisting of a choice of several coffees, fresh fruit and juice, ham and eggs fixed to your order, croissants and biscuits is served thoughout the morning at a long table where you can interact with other guests, enjoy the view of the outside Piazza, or just read the morning paper.

The location couldn't be better, within a short walk to the Uffizi and all the other historical attractions of Florence, therefore I strongly recommend this very comfortable residenza.
