“A wonderful place to spend your time in Florence”

Great location in a clean, welcoming little hotel. If you are looking for a hotel with televisions and large saunas, stay away (please), but if you want a wonderful hotel experience in the middle of the city in a surprisingly quiet room (perfect for reflecting on the hundreds of pieces of art you had seen throughout the day) then this is the place for you! Alessio and Asumi are welcoming hosts and almost everything in the city is within walking distance, from 30 seconds to 10 minutes away.

“The place to stay in Firenze!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 January 2012

Great location--close to everything and you feel like you are immersed in Florence. Asumi and Alessio were wonderful hosts for our 4 night stay. Simple but elegant lodgings. There is no internet, but available around the corner at a cafe. The modern bathroom met our needs, but we were prepared with out own toiletries and washcloths.

“Love Hotel Cestelli!!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2011

This is the city we fell in love with and we have Asumi and Alessio to thank.

From the moment we arrived, the two were wonderful - as a jogger I wanted to know where I could run and Alessio was quick to show me routes on the map. He clearly loves the city and gave us tips for food, shopping, sights and even laundries.

After a TINY room in Rome, our room was enormous and felt like home. The rooms are beautiful, beds are comfortable and it was definitely a home away from home. Just a hop, skip and jump from central Florence, Ponte Vecchio and the other beautiful sights.

The only negative is the lack of wifi - even if I had to pay, I would be happy to. Its always nice to be able to access the internet in your room and I'm hoping they think about that in the future. Also a small bar fridge in the room would help - just to keep some fruit and water for snacks and midnight water cravings!

Other than that - I will continue to recommend Hotel Cestelli to everyone I talk to - would definitely go back and stay longer at this beautiful place.

Thanks Alessio and Asumi!

“Great stay and huge room”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 November 2011

We stayed in a 3 bed room of epic proportions and all the furniture is old (antique and original) and in style with the place. It was clean and very comfortable. There is a smell at the entrance of the building but I would say the sewers in Florence is not so modern and it's not too bad. The location is excellent as it is close to all the major attractions of the city.

The people were very helpful and friendly and gave us some tips on the best places to visit, eat and drink in Florence. If you stay out late they give you extra keys to enter the building off the street so you can come back whenever you want. They however do not have breakfasts but there are plenty of places that have excellent coffee and pastries and open from 7 am. So this didn't bother us. We would really recommend this place as it is a great place to stay.

We had a lovely stay at the Hotel Cestelli. It's a small hotel located in an old palace. The rooms are spacious with high ceilings and large windows.

The owners are extremely helpful and friendly. Alessio and Asumi put a lot of heart and soul into the hotel. Alessio loved sharing his recommendations of the city with us, from beautiful sights to delicious restaurants.

Highly recommended!
