Before I booked the room in that hotel I'd read reviews of course and had an impression that everything is fine. But maybe it's my bad luck that I'm totally disappointed about it.... We (me and my friend) came to Florence in the evening, Sunday. The man at the reception didn't speak English at all and another man spoke a little (but didn't actually understand it). We were lead through the corridor down the stairs outside (and we had our suitcases so all these stairs weren't very welcome :)) and to the room.... (there the nightmare started....) We felt like Harry Potter in his "cupboard under the staircase" :)) There was a frowsy and damp smell, the air was so humid that all our clothes was a little bit wet in the morning. That was obviously the room no-one lived in for a long time, it was not clean enough, a lonely towel (definitely already used by someone) was in the bathroom... No towels for us... I had to come to reception to ask for them. And also I asked for another room. They gave us another room next day - it was much better ;)) not damp at least :)) But the shower cabin was fixed with scotch tape (not successfully enough - there was a huge gap :))) And again I had to ask for towels at the reception :))
Also my advice is NOT to have breakfast! for 3 euro you could have something nice in the city :)) For breakfast they had cold coffee (I was offered to put it in the microwave! hey, it's supposed to be Italy - the coffee country:)) Otherwise the hotel was ok, rather cheap for Italy and located conveniently :))
So that's it, a sad story of my ill choice :)) be aware :))
