Too many flights of stairs for one. We stayed for three nights and the towels were never changed out. There was only a glass bottle of hand soap at the sink and no soap in the shower. The room was extremely small. The breakfast was lacking. Each day the choices were slimmer and the quality poorer. The staff, however was pleasant.

This is a great hotel. Located in the city centre and near St. Croce allows you to walk everywhere. A very quite hotel. Check in was easy and the staff were very friendly and helpful. A nice breakfast is included. The linen towels were a surprise treat. I stayed for eight days and would return to this hotel.

The only drawback was there is no lift (elevator) so be prepared for a climb up to the top floor of this building. Enjoy the experience:-)))))

The friendliest staff we had during our trip to Italy. Very clean rooms. Also very roomy considering we had a triple. Excellent location on the eastside of central Florence, but then again almost all hotels in Florence are close to the center since the city is so small. Breakfast was the best here and again the staff was very friendly. The only reason I didn't give it 4 stars was because of the 3 flights of stairs with no elevator. We were 3 single ladies with 40 pounds of luggage. Not fun and extremely tiring to carry luggage up 3 flights of narrow stairs. The way down was much easier.

the bathroom was moldy, grout all falling out and the shower drained into the hallway and the bedroom, which on a marble floor made it downright treacherous! The room had very little light and was cold, we had to ask for multiple blankets--the bed was hard and I think was two single beds pulled together with just a sheet.

The front desk staff was very nice and helpful, breakfast room was a disaster of dirty dishes and no room to sit. It is a steep narrow walk up with a lot of stairs and about two floors higher up than you think it's going to be. Not a great location, but not the worst. We got it through our travel agent as part of a package with two terrific places and were only in Florence for two nights (as it rained the whole time we were there, that made the icky room even more icky!) There is also a string in the shower (which unknown to us was for calling for help if you need it)--the noise that it made was like your worst nightmare of a smoke alarm going off--imagine that going off when you hit it taking a shower!
