I stayed here for 1 night. It was easy to find, small rooms but for €27 it was awesome. The bathroom was newly renovated and had an amazing shower! The beds were comfortable, it was pretty quiet and easy access to central Florence and the train station. Overall a great experience.

We stayed at Montreal hotel for 3 nights between Cristmas and New year, 2011. The location is very convenient for having walks in the historical center, as well as for excursions by train (the train station Santa Maria Nouvela is situated at 150-200 m away from the hotel).
We are also very satisfied with the people on the reception: very helpful and kind.
For sure we would recommend this hotel to our friends.

First of all, this is a small hotel in 5-8 min walking distance from Florence SMN Station. It is in a small street in which many small hotels locate. There is a lift. We stayed there for 4 nights during X'mas and we got free upgrade to main building, on top of its x'mas gift package - 1 day free.

The room is admittedly small even it is in main building but at least our large suitcase can be opened on the floor comfortably. The colour in the room is warm and due to the heater functioning well in the small room, we slept early each night. The bathroom is narrow in shape and if you are big in shape, you may feel squeezed. To us, it is alright.

There is room cleaning and doing each night. So good. Breakfast is good, though not excellent - got cereal, so so quality bread and pastry, milk, orange (no fruit, ham).

Staff there are warm and friendly, particularly Erika who took up overnight shift on x'mas eve. She was so eager to point the direction to us and told us the spots around. Stephanie was also helpful too.

One of the selling point is that this hotel is really close to Officina Pharmacy of SMW - I could buy fragrance there easily.

Excellent ratio in terms of price value ratio.

I stayed at Hotel Montreal for nine days at the end of October 2011 and I can say that I experienced an excellent and inspirational time in Florence. I have very fond memories and being a guest in this hotel, during this time, contributed to this positivity.

From reception to morning breakfast, I found the service at Hotel Montreal very helpful, welcoming, positive and of the highest professional standards.

If I return to Florence I would most certainly consider staying in Hotel Montreal again.
