Beds were the MOST uncomfterable of our entire month long stay--hard as a rock. This is in comparison to beds on trains and a couple of hostals.

The neighbors in the back have nightly church service until after 10 pm, so you can choose from street noise or late Christian rock. You can hear very well through the windows. I would NOT stay here again, espeicially for the price we paid.

Breakfast was good, staff was nice.

Given the price of the Hotel Colorado that we managed to get on venere.com, we weren't expecting 4 star accommodation- in fact, we were expecting 1 star...
The hotel was easy to find, and close to the centre of florence, as advertised. When we arrived our room wasn't ready but they let us get changed and washed and leave our bags witht hem until we wnated to check in, which was fine for us.
The room was large, generally clean, with everything you needed and we felt that their service was warm and efficient.
a lovely breakfast and an easy check out and again they let us leave our bags until we were leaving florence.
Expect what you're paying for and you'll be really pleased, as we were. We'd visit again!

The Good..It is a good location for accesssing al amenities, especially the Statue of David. Also, check-in staff were very helpful.
The Bad..Breakfast was very poor, stale coffee and bread rolls were the order of the day! The hotel is also situated several floors up with no lift or porter facilities.
The Ugly...we discovered a nice surprise of a used condom packet in the desk drawer, which doesnt exactly demonstrate their eye for detail.

I read great reviews of this place and was completely mislead. The place is definitely not worth your money. It has a good location, but thats about it. In fact we found the place pretty scary and couldnt even stay there. The staff was friendly and helpful, but I would recommend going for a 3 star hotel and spending the extra $20 bucks. At least you will not feel as ripped off as we did when we were given the key to our room. I was extremely disappointed and it definitely was not what I expected after reading the reviews. I was charged $100 plus tax which came to about $125/night. You can find MUCH better places for about $150. Definitely worth it to spend the extra 25 dollars!
