While you can say that the hotel is located right next to the train station, It is still 20-25 minutes (or more) walk from the main attractions and if you want to check out Ponte Veccio bridge (forgive my spelling) - it is even further away. But that is not the worst thing about the hotel. It is located right next to a very busy road, where traffic goes non stop all night. The neighborhood is not really nice and if you can go for a hotel located closer to downtown, choose another one - that will save you a lot of time and energy for walking in Florence. Our room was ok - no problems, really, but it was really noisy.

this hotel looks wonderful in the pictures and upon check in. Closer inspection shows major wear. I was travelling with a group of 31 people, most rooms were average - mine though large had a 2 foot patch of mold. The hallways had a stench, bathrooms were dark. Restaurant staff tried hard, food was ok. Service from reception all depended on who you spoke to - I was not given a message that a family member was in hospital - unacceptable!

This hotel caters to student groups ranging in ages from 7years and up - most nights kids were running up and down the hallways yelling - management sometimes responds to your request to tell them to be quiet.

The Leonardo Da Vinci is a nice 3 stars hotel in Firenze.
Staff is nice and service is good.
The parking is charged but you can leave your car longer.
It is not too far from center 10-15mn walk to the Duomo.
Rooms are big, clean and comfortable.
Breakfast is good but more choice would be appreciated.

I stayed here in October as part of school tour with students and teachers. Convenient location near the train station. It is a pity that the excellent service by wait staff in the restaurant was let down by the nonchalant staff on reception. Restaurant pasta meals were excellent and very satisfying for hungry teenagers. Breakfast was quite good with a good selection of fruit, yoghurt and pastries. Forget about the machine coffee!! Rooms were basic facing the train station although not really noisy as to interrupt sleep. The hotel is a bit of a rabbit warren and the lift was fairly antiquated and was not operating on the morning of our departure. 10 minutes walk to the centre of Florence.
