The hotel Vasari isn t a Palace, as the name mentions, but very convenient for visiting Florence. The staff is always very friendly, the internet connection very nice in the whole building and the main rail startion (Santa Maria Novella), only within a 5-minutes walking distance. The breakfast however isn t something special, and offers Mortadella, yellow cheece, cereals and sweets. If you are about to book this hotel, I would advise you to print out a map, through the Vasari is hidden in a small road nearby, and there is no sign in the nearby area, how to reach it ( I have used a taxi for this purpose). The room itself is a small one, with a very narrow bathroom,the pillows were very hard and the heating seemed not to function during my whole stay on 10-12 of December. Overall is a nice place, if you are reaching Florence by train and would like to explore the area of Tuscani ( Siena, Pisa, Bologna), during your stay.

My friend and I loved this Hotel. The decore is beautiful very old world. Very friendly staff, cental to everything, clean spacious rooms and an interesting history. I would recommend this Hotel to stay and would definately stay again if visiting that beautiful city of Florence.

Hotel is two blocks from train station - Santa Maria
Novella, and two additional blocks from the bus station. We
found the location ideal for sightseeing in Florence, and at
the end of the day, there are ample wonderful restaurants to
choose from.

Hotel is a converted monastery, that is beautiful, clean and
very well situated. We had a large room, with a standard
European king sized bed - actually two double beds fitted
together. Room was one of the largest we stayed in in Italy.
Not sure if this was three or four star hotel - quality was
definitely four star. Free WiFi in our room.

Breakfast was in the ample dining room on the ground floor.
At this point in our two week stay in Italy, this was the
most scrumptious breakfast spread that we had seen.

Staff was extremely helpful and cooperative, speaking fluent
English. They were able to assist with answers to our
questions, directions, suggestions, etc. Free WiFi in our
room.

We stayed for three nights, and would definitely recommend
this hotel.

Very cosy place to stay. Few minutes to the main train terminus. Walking distance to Duoma. Staff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are much spacious compared to routine European standards for a 3 star hotel. The old communist style building gives initial scare but once you meet the people at reception or get inside the rooms, shall be glad over your choice. Breakfast is reasonable, the hot chocolate and capuccinos served are amazing. Located in a peaceful and safe street.
