“The best B&B!”

We stay here for just one night (Feb 8) We drove up from Rome so we had a car, the parking was great here. It was behind a gate so we knew the car was safe. It was very cold out during our stay, this B&B was so warm and cozy! The room was the most romantic and beautiful place we have ever stayed. The staff was amazing!! so friendly and helpful. The place was nice and quiet for sleeping and we had the best breakfast in the morning. We will be back, this time we will stay for a week!

“A lovely place in Florence”

My boyfriend and I stayed at Villa Antea for 2 nights during our short visit to Florence. This place is just beyond expectation! The room is huge with a very comfortable bed. The bathroom is as big as the room!!! Aside from this wonderful hardware, the service was unexceptionally good. It feels like home away from home. Before we arrived, I have received email from Monica of Villa Antea asking what time I would be arriving. Upon our arrival, the staff greeted us with a big warm smile on her face. She showed us the room and where to have breakfast. We were given a little booklet with basically all the information you'd need in Florence, especially with wonderful restaurants recommendations. We tried 2 of the restaurants stated in that little booklet and they were both very good! Definitely not tourists' traps and also filled with locals.

Villa Antea is located outside of the city center at a beautiful residential area. It took us longer than expected to walk to the city center due to the snow. There is also a bus that takes you directly to all the main attractions just around the corner of Villa Antea.

3 days were really too short for Florence. I will definitely visit Florence again and stay at Villa Antea.

“Luxury in Florence!”

Our family stayed at the Villa Antea for two nights. It was splendid! The rooms are gorgeous with high ceilings, beautiful bedding and luxury decor. The staff was excellent, helping us with directions, activities and great suggestions. The morning breakfast was delicious, the choices were many and also a hot dish was provided upon request. We actually had booked only one night and stayed a second because we were so pleased with the accommodations. The Villa was a family home and that same feeling still is within the walls, we were treated like family. i would suggest this b&b to families and also for romantic trips.

Room Tip: The double rooms are very romantic!

“Loved Villa Antea”

I were so unexpectedly delighted when we entered Villa Antea. From the time I walked through the side gate, I loved the feel of the family home that has been transformed into a B&B. The room was lovely, clean and so spacious. And the bathroom, wow! As my friend commented when she saw a photo, you could fit the Italian soccer team in the shower alone!

Another unexpected suprise was the tea and coffee facilities in our room. This was the only hotel in Europe that we stayed in that we could make our own tea and coffee.

The breakfast room was setup beautifully and the service provided was wonderful. The staff provided the information we needed to get around Florence and Villa Antea was in a great location, although a little bit of a walk into the centre of the city, we enjoyed the walk each day.

I would highly recommend Villa Antea to anyone visiting Florence and look forward to returning one day.

Room Tip: We had a room on the ground floor which provided easy access to wheel our luggage into. The other bo...

“A wonderful place to stay in Florence”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 21 January 2012

My wife and I stayed at Villa Antea for a week during a 6 week trip through France and Italy.
We predominantly stayed in 4 star hotels and would have to say Villa Antea was the best accommodation and service we experienced during the trip.
Upon arrival we were given what became our manual for dining in Florence - the small information book put together by Villa Antea. It gave us other kinds of information as well (tours, markets etc) but also gave a list of restaurants around the Villa (away from the tourist centre of Florence) and restaurants in the centre which were better than the standard tourist fair. All the meals we had (and there were a few over 7 days) were fantastic!
The staff were all very friendly and approachable and helped us to book a wonderful private tour of Tuscany (at a cheaper cost than a minivan tour we were looking at), and also tours in and around Florence itself.
The friendliness and helpfulness of the staff was exemplified the day we left when there was an unadvertised taxi strike (which plagued us in Rome for the next few days also) and after trying for 20 minutes with two phones to book us a taxi one of the fabulous owners provided us with two of her own bus tickets to make sure we got to the train station on time, for which we are very grateful.
As stated in the description the Villa is about 20 minutes walk to Florence centre which we found to be a massive plus. The quality of the restaurants in the area of the hotel (essentially suburban) was wonderful. The location of the Villa gave us the opportunity to experience what it might be like to live in Florence rather than just visit. We found the Villa a terrific starting point for day trips to other areas in Tuscany.
We would certainly stay at Villa Antea again and will be recommending any friends and relatives in the vicinity of Italy to go to Florence and do the same.
