Stayed 2 nights in a single room with pleasant experience, and friendly staff. Conveniently located just across from the train/bus terminal, and close to all major tourist attractions, it's a good choice. Be realistic with the nice clean room and don't expect 5 star facilities for the pricing. The bathroom was OK though the shower space was narrow. Breakfast offered is simple but quite sufficient. The hotel was housed on the third floor of a large apartment-like building that is shared by several other similar small hotel establishments. However, it was difficult to located the hotel sign from the outside of the building. This can be overcome by looking at the street address (number 20). The small ancient lift, though looks somewhat threatening, is easy to operate. Highly recommended.

My girlfriend and I stayed at the Hotel Desiree for 2 nights oct/11 and it was just perfect. Close to train around corner... Clean...nice staff helpful with wi-fi...good value...and a nice little breakfast to start the day, continental but very sufficient. Close to markets, restaurants, hop on bus, Duomo. Very home like and personal and a fun elevator! Thank You Hotel Desiree!

It's just across from the train station and close to all the other attractions you would want to see. The room isn't anything special; the bathroom was nice and big. Typical European breakfast offered. It's in a building shared by other small hotel establishments (seemed to be one per floor). This one is on the 3rd floor.
