Stayed at the Franchi (pronounced Franky) Hotel with my wife in late September 2010. We arrived at the hotel and the front desk spoke English and our check-in went smooth. Our room was on the 5th floor so as we headed for the elevators, we noticed the elevator doors looking rather small. We were barely able to fit our 2 pieces of luggage and 2 carry-ons into the elevator. My wife and I weren't able to fit with our luggage so as we press the floor number on the elevator, we ran up the stairs to get to our luggage in time. Phew, barely!!!
We enter our hotel room and everything looked very dated. Not much remodeling had been done and we weren't expecting much since this was the similar decor on the exterior of the hotel. Our hotel room did have access to a large balcony but I'm not sure if that was a good thing. As we awoke the next morning, I found about 4 mosquito bites on my left leg alone, several on my arms and a few on my neck. My wife had a similar experience.
I would not stay at this hotel again.
