Pros:

- very modern decoration
- hote room eas clean and tidy
- reasonable room rate
- good room size at European hotel's standard


Cons:

- not too close to city centre. It takes 10 - 15 minutes' walk
- could be very noisy if your room is at the main street but not at the back
- limited gym facilities

We stayed at Athenaeum Hotel for 2 nights. The rooms were clean and comfortable. This hotel is not in the heart of Florence but everything is a 10 to 15 minute walk away. We enjoy walking so this was not an issue for us. The staff was not overly friendly but helpful. The breakfast was very good with plenty of options. I would definately stay here again on my next trip to Florence.

My friends and I spent 3 nights here on our Italy tour. The hotel is very modern and the rooms were decent size. It was very convenient to the Duomo and other attractions like Piazza della Signoria, Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. We did use the bikes for the afternoon. The breakfast was very good and they were very helpful recommending restaurants. I would definitely stay here again on my next visit to Florence.

We stayed here for 6 nights during a vacation in Tuscany. We had a room with a European king on the rear of the building. We had a small balcony and did not hear any street noise, only heard the fountain in the courtyard. The bathroom was tight but adequate. The USB ports for charging phones was useful. The hotel was immaculate and the breakfast was very good. The staff was very helpful with restaurant reservations and recommendations.
