This hotel was absolutely the worst I have ever seen. This place was horrible,was disgusting.
Is listed as a 3 star hotel but it is more like a backpackers hostel.
These kind of hotels must be closed.
The bathroom was horrible, very dirty.
The bed, I don't even want to think it.There was not courtins at the windows.....dirty,dirty, dirty...

things we liked about the hotel
1) the receptionist was really helpful and nice
2) close by to bus stop
3) great place to eat nearby (about 10 mins walk) - straight down the road to turn left and walk a little bit, delicious spaghetti. restaurant run by a lovely old woman. very helpful and nice.
4) nice little balcony in the room

things we hate about the hotel
1) the bathroom was not that clean
2) the heater was broken, the room was always cold
3) the bed was very uncomfortable (but we managed to sleep on it for 3 nights)
4) not soundproofed. it was EXTREMLY loud outside the room, couldnt even sleep.
5) people kept knocking on our door.
(4&5 maybe because there was a huge group of people staying on the same floor as us, but still...!)
6) breakfast was horrible.
7) no internet connection.

It pays to read reviews.
In this case we did not and that is a pity,
We definitely will not recommend this hotel.
Under no circumstances. A third rate hotel and far too expensive even for a third rate hotel.
It is in desperate need of some fixes. Everything is in a stage of disrepair.
The TV wasn't working, there was no hot water.... and then we were moved to another room which had hot water for one shower only. The bed was standing at an angle, air conditioning?
What air conditioning?
- the parking surcharge is ridiculous if you take into account that they say parking is provided in the street but do not tell you what happens on nights that the street get washed.
It may be on the banks of the river but there are hardly any restaurants close by and the staff do not tell you much about getting the bus to downtown.
Staying at this hotel may spoil your experience of Florence.

I read all of the reviews and was totally prepared for the worst when we left for Florence. Once we found the bus stop to head to the hotel, we piled onto a crammed bus that stopped about a half mile from our hotel and kicked us all off, i assume, because his shift was over. So my boyfriend and i hauled our suitecases the rest of the way...thank goodness i had printed out a map, or i would have been even MORE pissed off.Once we found the hotel, the older gentleman at the desk helped us, with little to no personality. Our room was VERY basic...a bed, a desk, a lamp, a small TV, a phone that didnt work, a window with a mini balcony, and an OLD A/C unit that was loud and didnt blow out very cold air. We stuck it out...the front desk did make us reservations at a fabulous restaurant. The hotel is a good 25-35 min walk into the main city, but we enjoyed the walk, and stopped at a few stores on the way. So I didnt think it was the 'Worst hotel in Florence', but i think we'll spend the extra bucks to get an air conditioned place in the main city centre next time.
