My wife and I spent three nights at the Bellevue House on an extended trip through Italy, nd were very happy with our room and the service provided by Antonio and his wife. We stayed in the "Carolina" room, which offered a rooftop view of Florence towards the Palacio Vecchio and also featured a separate sitting area with a small bed, and a nice bathroom. Antonio met us as promised, offered some nice tips for touring the city, and was available to answer questions. Note that this hotel is on the 3rd floor of an old building (meaning it is up 4 flights of stairs!), so this might not be a good place for individuals with mobility limitations or who have a lot of heavy liuggage. It was easy to find from the train station & within an easy 10-20 min. walk of the primary tourinst sights in Florence. The hotel is small, essentially six rooms on the upper floor of what was in the 16th century a portion of a large house or palace, and the current owner & his wife live two floors down in a residential part of the building. Therefore, there is no desk for issues or questions after Antonio stops by in the evening around 8 p.m., which was actually nice... there were other people in the hotel when we stayed, but they were very quiet & we hardly noticed they were there! Beds were "OK", large king size but could have been a bit softer... pillows were just average. Internet would have been nice... ther is an internet spot directly across the street. Towel heater in the bathroom - which was nice given we were staying on a few cold winter days! Overall, an excellent place and will definitly stay again!

I cannot say enough nice things about Bellevue House and the man who runs it, Antonio.

Antonio spent much time over our three days in Florence giving us tips, directions, recommendations and even spent some time just chatting. This was our first trip to Europe, and I can't imagine what the culture shock might have been like without some help.

The room was big, clean, neat and located in a quiet spot, yet close enough to get to the main attractions in a matter of a couple minutes walking.

Stay here. You will not regret it!

Our 2 night stay at the Bellevue House B&B was just what we needed! My wife and I, along with our 3 sons (ages 12, 17 & 21) had driven from Paris to Dachau and the following day drove from Dachau to Florence.

Our rooms were very spacious with working air conditioning and full private bathrooms. Antonio was very helpful, both during our vacation preparation and also once we arrived. He gave us great restaurant recommendations and helped us with reservations at the Academia.

Our main regret was that we only stayed for 2 days. We will definitely keep the Bellevue in mind if we return to Florence.

We stayed in The Bellevue House for three days and two nights. It is true to its name. It is managed like a house (but without any food…) by Mr. Antonio, a friendly man who on our arrival gave all the details about how to go around Florence and Pisa.

We were put in room named VICTORIA a large and spacious room with a mini fridge, and a sofa, in an excellent price of euro 60 per night (with further a cash discount of 5 euro per night). But the Bath room was very small and towels were not changed ever day. The room was very quiet but it was really painful to drag the luggage ourselves up to fourth floor. Therefore this place is not at all suitable for the persons who have trouble in walking.

It has excellent location: close to train station, bus stops and restaurants. Famous and beautiful Santa Maria Novella square is just walking distance where we enjoyed music played by a group in the evening with best ice-cream (gelato) available in nearby shop.

We are thankful to our son and daughter in law in Milan who booked this hotel for us, where we enjoyed our stay.
