My room in this warm, elegant hotel was a single - I think they called it a Barbie room ;-). I felt just like a princess, too. Beautiful furnishings, linen sheets that I never wanted to leave, lovely staff. Centrally located on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella, where you really see how alive the city is at night. J.K. Place has a rooftop tikibar, a lower level lounge, and beautiful sitting rooms along the main level corridors. Charming outdoor patio seating.

Pretty cool place, nicely appointed rooms, lovely restaurant, great staff and food. My only gripe was that a conference group was staying at the same time and were drinking in the bar bar till all hours. Rang reception to complain but to no avail. Left me feeling that the group was more important to the hotel then my wife and me. That said the good points outweighed the bad. Stayed October '07

We just returned from a 10-day trip to Italy and we had the pleasure of staying 3 nights at the JK Place. We loved it! It only has 20 rooms, so it's a very boutique feel. And the condition of the hotel is excellent. Very high quality materials used throughout the hotel, guest rooms and public spaces alike. The best part was the hotel staff - they were ALL extremely kind and willing to help with anything. They were genuinely concerned with our comfort and we really appreciated that. We stayed in a Superior room. It was not huge, but still very comfortable. Nice furnishings, good TV, complimentary mini bar, comp wi-fi, great bathroom. There was never a problem with noise. Housekeeping was very good, and they brought us fresh fruit each day. Also, the bath products were great - much better quality that what you'd get at a standard hotel. We had dinner one night at the hotel, and it was very good. TIP: the caprese salad is huge and plenty for 2 people. We made the mistake of ordering 2 of these. The daily breakfast is fine - they were willing to make us eggs/omelets, in addition to the continental items that were available. Also, they provided refreshments throughout the day and this was a nice touch. The location of the hotel was terrific - Duomo was 5 minute walk, River was a 5 minute walk, Ponte Vecchio was a 10 minute walk, excellent shopping within 5 minutes. We walked from the train station to the hotel (it's right there). This hotel was more expensive than some of the others I looked at, but I would absolutely stay here again, without question. It's worth the money. Very high quality.

This may be the beautiful hotel I have ever visited. Everything from the aromatherapy to the interior decorating to the food to the rooms are perfect. No detail has been overlooked in this stylish hotel tucked on the Piazza Santa Maria Novella. The staff is thoroughly trained and will do whatever they can to serve their clientele. The restaurant was delightful - they have a charming patio as well to enjoy. If you visit when nice out, I highly recommend spending an afternoon sipping some beverages and enjoying the view.
