“Added value to Florence”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 January 2012

After struggling a bit to find the hotel, the Wow factor was set in the reception already; design all over and friendly staff. Rooms have great design that compensates for the lack of size, and limited lighting (one of the rooms only had one window which made it appear particularly dark). Wow continued though at the breakfast area, with long table bringing guest together. Selection at breakfast was good, and they even had a spumante ready for serving (didn't test it though, driving skills required..)

Room Tip: count no of windows in room

“I am in heaven!!”

The first time that I saw this hotel I thought: Wow, I am in heaven... The design hotel is modern and is located in a quiet area of Florence (if you like to walk and know places prepare yourself to 15 minutes walk to downtown). The room is great with a confortable bed (it is possible select pillows!), big flat screen TV, frigobar and the bathroom is something to remember...yeah because you can take a shower listening music in a powerful shower bath.
The breakfast (included) is very good, with a variety of juices, coffees and a cold sparkling wine to welcome another day. The restaurant serve a good pasta and the service is amazing since front desk to restaurant and cleaning staff.
Florence is astonishing and this hotel help love more the city.

“Well managed hotel with exceptional room...but a bit far from action...”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 18 December 2011

This was my second time stayed at this hotel. I was upgraded to a bigger room that had a huge bath tub. Be sure to ask for the mini bar and wifi daily for 10 Euro. Great deal!

The room was exceptional. Bed was comfortable and the area quiet. Huge Sony flat screen tv, which I did not use. The room design is very modern with tiny LCD lights along the walls. Overall, the room was fantastic and very comfortable. The bathroom is large and functional. Although each time I shower I seemed to create a small pond, the overall experience was good. Just be careful not to slip.

The only down side to the room was even with all the lights on, the room was still a bit dim. Very romantic setting though....

The shuttle bus runs from the hotel to the shopping area and finally to the train station (Santa Maria Novella) on a fixed time basis. It is best to check with the hotel on the time. When I arrived at 2pm at the train station I was told that the earliest shuttle was not until 5pm. The taxi fair cost about 12 euros on way.

The hotel is a bit far from Duomo (cathedral) and shopping area. However, it does not translate to a bad situation. The area surrounding the hotel is very quiet and safe. The walk to the shopping area is nice and generally peaceful with some light traffic. If you like walking, this is a great place to stay. It takes about 20 to 25 minutes to walk to Duomo. You can cross one of Florence's many bridges and admire Ponte Vecchio. Alternatively, you can take the hotel shuttle bus to the shopping area, minutes away from Duomo.

The hotel continues to have great, professional service. Friendly staff.

Breakfast was one of the best part of the trip. They served both hot and cold food. Wide variety of selection, including sparkling wine if you're up to it. Just simply one of the best breakfast you can experience. Fabulous!

Room Tip: Ask for the all inclusive mini bar and wifi for 10 euros.

“Clean, Nice place to stay, Just a bit far”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 8 November 2011

This hotel is everything all the reviewers say it is...a nice play to stay. Yet, most reviews seem to underestimate the walk to the center of Florence. It is a solid 15 minute walk (for fast walkers) to the Ponte Vecchio and at least 10 minutes from there. It is just a bit farther than I would have liked it to have been. My friend and I stayed here for 3 nights. The accommodations were fine, and a bit quirky, as you've seen from pictures and reviews. The shuttle service is convenient, though you must arrange in advance, and my emails prior to arriving at the hotel were not responded to until after our trip, so we had to take a cab to the hotel from the train station (10 euro). We were able to arrange the shuttle service two other days and it was quite nice. I think they'll even drop you near the city center, if you ask. The shuttle seems to leave the hotel once an hour in the mornings and then stops for a few afternoon hours (typical in Italy) and then continues again. The night rates for taxis are higher than during the day, so plan to pay more to cab it home late at night. The breakfast buffet was a highlight. As someone living in Italy now, the American style bacon and eggs were a plus. Now, they weren't the best ever, but this is Italy; I'll take what I can get. A wide variety of things are offered, including gluten-free choices for those who require it.

“Tranquilidade na cidade!”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 30 October 2011

Excellent! Modern, functional and beautiful. Friendly and helpful staff especially the barman in the hotel bar. Excellent buffet breakfast. The room although small was beautiful, functional and comfortable. The bed is excellent. The location is not central but easily reach the historical center by bus No. 6 (A or B). The walking route does not take less than 30 minutes. It is worth noting the free shuttle from the airport and train station to hotel and vice versa (only at certain times it is necessary to check in advance).
Unbeatable value for money!
