“Convenient and value for money”

Globus is very convenient to the train and bus stations and easy walking distance to all the sights. There are a number of restaurants quite close - we particularly enjoyed Zsa Zsa's for dinner and Nerbone in the nearby undercover market for a very tasty local lunch. There seemed to be a bigger selection of restaurants south of the Piazza del Duomo, but then you are further from the station.
Our room was very comfortable and clean, though the location on the first floor was a little noisy in the evenings, probably due to the closeness to the bar and reception. The free wifi was handy and there was even a laptop in the room if you didn't have your own. The breakfast was included, but did not offer any cooked items, though the coffee was great. Reception were even happy to make us coffee in the evening, since there was no tea and coffee facilities in the room. All of the staff were extremely friendly and helpful.
We would not hesitate to stay in the Globus again.

You’re absolutely right about our location. As it’s been already told, the proximity to all the main sites and to good restaurants is certainly not to be undervalued. By the way, Florence is so full of restaurants that you can always find something good around (also in our area).

We’re also glad you found the room clean and the breakfast tasty. Again, we’re very sorry about the noise you heard, I hope it didn’t happen at night time when most of our guests are already asleep.

“Fab in Firenze!!”

This is a fantastic hotel, in a brilliant location (3 minutes walk from the train/bus station and central to all other attractions, basically everything was within 15 minutes or less walking), with excellent facilities and extremely helpful and friendly staff! What more can I say, if ever I or anyone I know is going to florence I will be telling them to stay here

Dear Lesleybar13

Thank you so much for your amazing comment! Let me just tell you you’re a fast walker, 3 minutes from the train station to our Hotel seem like a record:)

But jokes aside, you’re right that our location is perfect, one doesn’t have to start a morning just organizing all the public transportation to take to see everything they want, you just walk out of the Hotel and in a few minutes you’re there at your destination!

We’re more than happy that after staying with us you’d consider recommending Globus to your friends, that really means we’re doing something right.

FYI, 309 is one of Superior rooms, also available for 3 people and of course we’re very glad you liked it. Our Superior rooms are mostly recommended.for guests who like the comfort of a more spacious room and bathroom. Let me also clarify that you get one free refill of soft drinks (water included) from the minibar per stay only when you book a Superior room.

Clean, good service, generous breakfast, Very cheap. Only suggestion is : if youre booking a quad room, try & get 2 double beds. Our 2 single beds were in quite a small adjoining room. May get a bigger room if you get the 2 doubles ;) nice bathroom- I'm always obsessive about a good hotel bathroom. Good value if you're on a budget.

We’d like to thank you very much for choosing Globus. Seeing all the nice words you wrote I assume you had a good time staying here with us!

Let me just inform you (and all the future guests) that our quadruple rooms can’t be prepared with 2 double beds, the only possible configurations are 1 double + 2 single or 4 single beds.

Please consider staying in Globus again some time in the future, until then please accept our best regards.

Friendly and polite personel, especially Nicola. The hotel is situated in a great location where you can explore the city without taking any means of transportation. Though it is close to the open market it is very quiet!!! The ladies cleaned and tidied the rooms in a daily basis. Breakfast was nice. The gentleman in the bar was alway polite and willing. We stayed 3 nights in globus hotel recently. The room was nice and and the location was great. Breakfast was included in the very reasonable price. The staff were very pleasant and always happy to help wherever they could. The only downs were the noise from some other guests which carries right through the 1st floor and also a nasty smell tht seemed to linger around the 1st floor. Another then that we had an enjoyable stay.

Thank you very much for your review, it’s so great to read all the comments you don’t spare!

Remember that we all at the front desk are there to help you the best we can, and we’re also trying our best to make you feel at home every single day.

As for the inconvenience with the noise we’re sorry about that, unfortunately some days you can hear other guests more than usual and one can’t predict that. We will definitely try to work on sound isolation when we decide to undergo another refurbishment though.

Also, the bad smell has unfortunately always been a recurring problem in Florence. Given the old sewage system and scarce ventilation (Florence is all surrounded by hills) that strange smell can be detected all over the city during weather changes for example (also in shops and restaurants). We always try to do what we can to neutralize it, although it can be hard sometimes.

All in all, we hope that you will consider coming back one day, we will certainly be here waiting for you! Please take care.
