The person who staffed the front desk was completely incompetent and seemed apathetic to the fact that we were driving around Florence for 3 hours trying to find parking to check in to the hotel...he failed to tell us that the hotel has its own personal parking valet who could take care of parking for us for 24 Euros/night, which we would have gladly done had we known about the service. His negligence caused us to obtain a ticket from the city, since we traveled in and out of the city several times (which is apparently not allowed and enforced by fines) trying to find parking! The ticket was 90 Euros! This is ridiculous and unacceptable. We also didn't have our sheets cleaned, and when we asked if we could have our room cleaned, they didn't bother. The apathy of this hotel's staff is incredible. I would NOT recommend this hotel to others if you want to have a stress-free and enjoyable stay in Florence.

This Hotel was lovely. Great location, a minutes walk from the train station, but still walking distance to all of the major sights. Spacious rooms, ours had a view over the church grounds and square next door. Clean, with friendly staff. Simple breakfast.

This hotel was perfectly located near the train station - literally 5 minutes and all major sites and museum were within walking distance. The breakfast buffet was excellent - always fresh. We stayed there 3 nights and truly enjoyed are peaceful stay there. Staff was very helpful in directing us to the sites. Must see for us was the Academia museum. The over 20-foot statue of David was quite impressive! San Lorenzo market was great for shopping. Get your Brunello wines here because if is the best priced out of the other major cities in Italy. We have a great time in Florence and this hotel made our nights restful! Thanks to Elena and staff!

The only good thing about this hotel is the location - 5 min. from the station. However the rest is bad - tiny rooms, unfriendly receptionists (except for one nice girl) and the breakfast is simply pitiful. For this money you can find much better deals - I wouldn't go back.
