If you are looking for some place to just spend the night, take a shower and a decent breakfast then stay at Hotel Pagnini...

Friendly staff and hotel is in a nice location ...about 8min walk from santa maria novella train station.

The rooms are average size but clean with a nice king size bed and comfortable pillows. You get a tiny television set with really no English channels. The bathroom is small, however clean and like other users have mentioned you have to be careful in the shower as it is small and you could get the whole bathroom wet. But easily avoided if you are a little careful...should not be a reason not to stay here.

Breakfast is the standard cold continental variety... enough to get you going in the morning.

Good clean place to stay in Florence if you are on a budget.

The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. I would recommend this hotel to everybody because of the excellent service this family run hotel has. They would do anything to accomodate you.

The location is amazing. Close to the train station and all the site but not on a busy noisy street so you get the rest you need to get up early and see the beauty that Florence has to offer. Also the breakfast is just perfect!!!! They prepare whatever coffee you prefer and have a choice of two types of cereal, cheese, ham, bread, croissants with an array of jams and chocolate spread.

You realy feel like a guest in their home!!!

Terrible customer service, I booked a room last minute on their website which is very confusing, and hours later found out that I was only booked a room for one person. I called to see if I could change the reservation and be given a double room but was told their were non-avaliable, being Valentine's Day I did not want to spend the night apart from my spouse, the hotel suggested I book another single room!!!! I told them that was not an option and since I just booked the room only a few hours ago I wanted to cancel my reservation. I booked the room on Friday and was going to stay on Sat. night. They told me that since they did not have 72 hours notice they were going to charge me the first night if I cancelled!! I was very upset and told them that I notified them only a few hours after I made the reservation, but they were rude and told me no matter what they were going to charge me. Myu suggestion is to stay somewhere else!

It is not far from train station, quite location, close to Arno river, Room is big enough , very clean, king size bed, dark colour curtains, furnished with the maching Florance atmosphere (authentic) but the bathroom is too tiny and needs refurnishing.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. Warm welcomed at front desk by friendly hotel staff, she gave us all the necessary information abaut museum, restaurants, trains and buses. The breakfasts are so basic and same for every day. Bacon, cheese, marmelade, cereals, coffee or tea and canned orange juice is the bonus.

They gave us a room at the backside of the hotel even though we made reservation a month ago. Our room window is facing next door neighbours kıtchen. We couldn't be able to see the weather when we woke up in the morning (was it raining or sunny day). Heater didn't work at night but she gave us extra blankets to keep ourselves warm.
