The Rosary Garden was well worth finding. A little bit out of the way- but finding it is part of the adventure of travelling! Don't let the position put you off for a moment. Once reached you are then aware just how easy it is to get to and excellent local buses serve the area well.
Staying just outside of the bustling city is a good idea. We saw more of the local area. The hotel is very clean and very friendly. We had a lovely large room with a small balcony. Lots of little extras are included- a selection of spirits, afternoon tea and biscuits, toiletries in the bathroom. The staff would do anything to help. The adjoining restaurant was excellent and the ice cream parlour was superb- shown by the locals who would queue well into the evening for the gelato. All in all, The Rosary Garden made this the best short city break yet.

It is clean, well maintained and spacious be European hotel standards. My only dissatisfaction was the bed, the mattress was rock hard. Maybe some people like it, but us fat Americans need a little more cushion.

So I am sure you saying how does this add up to 5 stars. One word, SERVICE! The staff was very friendly polite and attentive. All of them, from the breakfast staff to the front desk staff were wonderful. Now let me tell you what they did that was really great. My wife, (yes I'll blame it on her) left some items in the safe and we did not discover this until we reached Venice. I then called the hotel to see what we could do. Our next stop after Venice was Rome then back to the US. The staff was so kind to ship the items to our Rome hotel so we did not have to stop back in Florence. This was a major help and we will be thankful for their exemplary service. Now to some this may not seem like a big deal, but if you read some of my other reviews, you will find that not all hotels are so flexible.

So if you are looking for an inexpensive hotel in Florence, you can easily rest assured you will be well cared for by the staff of the Hotel Rosary Garden.

What a wonderful surprise!!! So nice and cozy... the hospitality is unforgettable...the rooms clean and very well decoraded, so romantic. I like the brakfast room, small ,but soooo nice!!! The best thing is the small tea room where you can relax after of a long day of sight-seeing, drink a cup of tea or even have a drink like martini or the great Vin santo!!! Thank you so much for a great haney moon Rosary Garden...all the team is great!!!! One of the best hotels!!! Well done!!!!

This small inn is located outside of the historic district but is very convenient to transportation that is simple to use. I chose this hotel because I didn't want to be in the historic district and wanted to "live like a local".

This was the perfect neighborhood to do so. The hotel staff was very helpful with directions and recommendations to get us on our way. We dined at several restaurants that were recommended by the staff and they were all big hits. The morning breakfast was expansive and delicious, laid out in a lovely room just for this purpose.

I reserved this room early, several months ahead of time, and received a discount on my reservation by paying ahead of time. Our room was large with a fully equipped bathroom that appeared to be recently renovated. The dark out drapes at the windows were appreciated especially on the first day of arrival when we wanted to nap during daylight hours before heading out.
