This is hands down the best B&B I have ever been to. The hospitality and warmth made our trip memorable. Lorenzo is an excellant host

The location is unbeatable, 2 min from the duomo and walking distance everywhere. But its not the location, but the small touches that make this B&B stand out.

Free Wifi, DVD player in room with a wide selection of DVDs to choose from, good choice of books, an outdoor terrace to relax in, bedside speakers for the TV with an option for earphones, and above all , a PC in each room. Just a lot of thoughtfull planning.

Just 20 minutes easy walk from the railway station and bus station, a mere two minutes walk from the Duomo, five minutes from the Uffizzi and Accademia etc. It's hard to envisage anywhere better situated for a stay in the centre of Florence. More than that, however, the Ghiberti is a comfortable, well-equipped and charmingly run B&B hotel.

Our room was large, had a HUGE comfortable bed, and all the facilities anyone staying for a midwinter week could want. Breakfast was fresh and varied, in comfortable, bright surroundings. The ability to get a tray of tea and biscuits in the room for something like €2 late in the afternoon was welcome to us, resting between a day's culture and an evening's dining out.

This is one of the best B&Bs I have had the pleasure of staying in. Tourist House Ghiberti is not only excellent in comfort, service and cleanliness, it is also within walking distance to many fantastic attractions in Florence. From the moment we checked in, I was impressed with the service and professionalism of the staff. The entire house is extremely clean, the bathroom was spotless and huge, a sauna and jacuzzi at our disposal, the room came equipped with a PC and I need to highlight again the cleanliness of the room.

Breakfast was akin to what you would get from a hotel with an excellent spread of juices, milk, tea, coffee, toasts, bread, croissants, cakes, biscuits, fruits, muesli, cold cuts and cheeses. It is only a 2 minutes walk from the Duomo and from there on, you can literally walk about 20 minutes to any major attractions including Academia, Uffizi and Ponte Vecchio. Even piazza Michelangelo was a very comfortable 30 minutes walk which was worth every second and step up.

Would I stay here again? I definitely would! My stay unfortunately was for a short 4-day stay mid December but come summer, I would love to visit Florence again and hopefully stay at this marvellous B&B.

We stayed for three nights while exploring Florence. This is in a good central location with everything in walking distance. The room was spacious, with computer with Internet access plus wifi for the laptop. Great sound system, tv etc. Big bathroom with bath and shower. Excellent breakfast. All in a very easy relaxed but efficient atmosphere. I highly recommend this place as having everything you need as a base for touring the city.
