This hotel is ok, but I would look for a better option next time I visit Florence. This hotel is convenient to the train station which is good and about 15 minutes to the airport via taxi. We arrived there on December 27th and could not check in, the entire hotel was closed (presumably for the Christmas holiday) until 2:00 pm. We arrived at noon and had to sit outside the hotel on the street, we could really go anywhere and come back since we had our large suitcases with us. The hotel room was very outdated, the room was a decent size but the bathroom was alwats wet since there was no real bathtub. Just a shower head and a drain on the floor, so of course the water went everywhere. Our room was also very cold. The room did not have it's own thermostat, so we couldn't do anything about the temperature. The housekeeper took our towels (which they only gave us 2 in the first place) and did not give us any fresh ones. Thew breakfast here was also not very good. Canned fruit only- no fresh fruit, a few sad looking pastries, yogurt, juice, meat, & cheese. Stay here if you hae to, but try to find a better option if you can.

During the high season, finding this hotel was pleasant for us. Actually the hotel gets no more than 3* but the best advantage is it's location, which is just 5 min walk from the train station & close to tourist attractions.
Lobby & entrance are not so welcoming. They need basic renovations. However our room was in a better condition. It was clean with adequate necessities. Bed was comfortable. Bathroom was clean although not very roomy. View from the balcony was nice. Room's lighting was not enough during the night.
Internet in the room was not so fast.
The other thing which we didn't like about this hotel was the breakfast. It was very very basic.
Totally it was OK however a little expensive for the type of service they offer.

Staff were very helpful. Rooms were plain with high ceilings, very clean and with very comfortable beds. We slept like logs. We moved to a courtyard facing room with a view of the Duomo and Medici Chapel from the balcony which was just great. Breakfast was fine - worth ordering room service breakfast for 4 euros per room to get a proper coffee. We would return - as this is a good value hotel in a convenient location with plenty of restaurants nearby.

We chose this hotel for location--just minutes from the train station. The staff was helpful and friendly. Our room met all our needs and the breakfast choices were more than adequate.
We walked everywhere and were gone most of every day on our 6 day visit. Absolutely we would return.
