“Pleasant and well located"”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 5 May 2011

We were very well received by the couple's reception.
The hotel prefers cash, but also accepts cards. The breakfast is served in a hotel next door. Breakfast simple but with a variety of breads and cheeses.
It is noteworthy that the hotel is on the second floor and not have a lift (60 stairs to get to the room) ;)
The rooms are clean and confortaveil by European standards. Has entry to the Internet for free and a fridge to keep what we buy.
Near the station Santa Maria Novella.

“There are other options...”
2 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 April 2011

first of all, if you're handicapped or elderly, this place is not for you. The reception desk for this hotel (there are a number of albergo in this building) is up four flights of stairs. The room in Anna's was adequate (not pretty at all and super small) but INCREDIBLY noisy. EVERY street in Florence is a busy one, so right outside of our window, we could hear drunk American college kids all night and street cleaners beginning at dawn. I stumbled downstairs and asked wonderful Chiara at the desk to please move us. she kindly did, to a room in Hotel Azzi which is located on the first floor of the building. This room was VERY out-dated but comfortable and, more importantly quiet. Azzi serves a good breakfast...BUT, it's at an additional cost and I don't think it's worth it. Florence is the type of city that will draw you out of room, but it's also incredibly romantic and you want that romance to follow you to your room at night. We saw tons of small hotels that looked much more quaint and cute than any of those offered at the building in which Anna's and Azzi are located. Try those first cause at approximately $150 a night, this is NOT a good value.

Room Tip: Just don't stay here

“Big pleasant surprise”
5 of 5 stars Reviewed 3 April 2011

It would be really unfair not to recommend this hotel. I have NO complaints. On the contrary, nothing but praise for this hotel. Seeing deals and reading the comments of travelers on the net , I expected anything. But all that was said about this hotel is really true. No lies, no deception.
The hotel is located in the city center. The rooms are very clean with very clean bathroom. That was my first impression when I entered the room. It is absolutely irrelevant that is located on the second floor. Girl from reception desk offered to help me with bags. Can you believe it?
Just to know, they are willing to book your tickets for the Uffizi and the Academy. Just need to contact them via email.
When I visit Florence again, I will not seek another hotel. I will stay in this one definitely.

“Cozy, quiet in Nov, good price”

We stayed at Anna's for 2 nights the last week of November. It is very close to the train station and near to just about everything you'd want to see in Florence. The hotel is on the 3rd floor of an old Florentine building, which means - no elevators/lifts. The owners were very kind, and although there was no breakfast, they provided us with a lovely tray of coffee each morning.

“great location for a stay in Florence”
4 of 5 stars Reviewed 26 November 2010

The Hotel Anna is very close to the train station, within walking distance (about a 10 minute walk), but because of luggage we took a taxi. The hotel is located on the 3rd floor ( 4th if you count the building entry way ground floor), with no lifts. The room was larger than expected and very cozy, with an added plus of a small balcony that we could sip and enjoy a cup of coffee in the morning. There are several cafe's near by where you can grab a quick pastery and a hot beverage, or even a gelato. The owners are very friendly, helpful, and full of information about places to see and visit. The location of the hotel is very close to a majority of the of the museums and other tourist attractions.
