Don't let the hotel lobby fool you.
First of all, the hotel has an odor of a backed up toliet throughout the first few floors.
Secondly, the hotel was undercontruction while we were staying. Resulting in a redirection during checkin to their sister hotel attached to the Diplomat hotel. The service desk is overtasked and their customer service skills reflect this.
Due to the construction, taken place outside our door requiring us to actually step over the tools and workers, we kindly asked the hotel to relocate our room to at least a different floor. The service desk was absolutely rude to our request. Saying it was impossible, muttering under their breath (and while yes we are American, my husband and I know enough Italian through grandparents to understand their mutterings). After the service desks drama moment, they did provide us a new room.
The rooms themselves are nothing impressive and could have had better cleanings in between guests (judging by the hairs found in the shower). At least the room did not smell. The beds themselves are hard and the doors thin. A quiet night sleep was not in order.
It is convient to the train station.
