my stay was quite fantastic, the room was with a great view, the crew was nice and helpfull. i had no problems at all, the location was wonderfull, right next to the duomo( the main church) and right in the middel of the old city.

Hotel is in a good location and the hotel is clean. However, the air conditioning barely works. We were lucky to have cool weather in the evening, so that we could open the windows. Most concerning was the rude staff person we encountered each morning in the dining area. We were not subject to her attitude, but each morning saw her treat guests as if the hotel was a jail.

Great location, very comfortable, great value for the money!

This hotel is located one block south of the Duomo, the cultural and geographical heart of Florence. Located on a side street, just off one of the main shopping streets, it provides great access to all of central Florence. We got a great online deal - $60 for a double.

The front desk and lobby are on the first floor ("Piano 1"), one floor up from the street, and served by a small elevator. (Tip: In Italy, the ground floor is always floor 0.) The front desk staff cheerfully provided accurate information and spoke very good English. Breakfast (7:30-9:30 AM) was included - pretty standard fare, but good quality.

The room was clean and comfortable, with a large bathroom, good bed, good TV, and direct dial phone. Our window opened onto an alley with no view, and some noise in the morning from restaurant deliveries. Not really a problem, though.

If you are coming to Florence to get out and explore, this is a great hotel.

While the location was great, the rooms didn't have a fridge and we were told we couldn't bring food to the room. Breakfast was OK. There is a little shop to the right of the hotel. Get your drinks & snacks there since it's much cheaper than anywhere else. Booked through Orbitz and was told that I needed to pay for the room in cash, since it was discounted. Booked for a week so I didn't have that much and had to use the ATM and get money from different accounts. Sometimes the electricity would go out and we would have to call for them to turn it on. They do this in case people leave lights on, I guess. The room was never vacuumed the whole time we were there since we saw the same crumbs on the floor the whole time.
