Hotel - a charming villa with a small garden. On the second floor - private apartments owner, and the upper floors - rooms. All hotel collection of antiques items belonging to the owner of the villa. Nowhere have I slept better than in Italy in Florence in feather mattresses on the beds with canopies and bed linens with a monogram! Breakfast in the small dining room, literally 4 tables, antique china and silver tableware. Breakfast is quite good .We were disappointed with only coffee.
The walls in the room was quite shabby, but this was offset by the size of the room, antique Florentine mirror and hand-painted wardrobe, but also quite modern and very comfortable bathroom with a window. Yes, even the hotel has a lounge with a real fireplace!
This is a very romantic place!

i really was expecting a good stay here from the pictures and the reviews i read...but i was so wrong...it was awfull..first we got there and was shocked by the fact there was working beeing caryed out outside the villa..nex was the outside apparance..the mortar was falling, the wood work was in a very bad state, the reception was just not the same as in the pictures..the objesct where the same but that it's just proof of what photoshop can do..next..we got to our room..that was in the garden..the door opened in the garden and it was an glass door with wooden frame,.that didn't make me feel safe..but the worst part was that just outside the window was the busstation and in florence the busses are old and noisy..we could sleep and when we wanted to change the room they told us ok but we had to pay 3 times as much..and last but not least the brakfast room was in the basemant and it was full of dust and old furniture and mould..it didn't seam romantic...the food wa good...and the staff ok..so please avoid this hotel...there are better ones...and also...no free internet..the have a computer at the reception where u pay 6 euros for an hour...

We had a rubbish room (see the pictures if you do not believe me), the breakfast room is always too crowded and you can never find tables, you have to wait for somebody else to finish, and the positioning... OHHH the positioning... well, let's just put it this way: the bus stops precisely next to your bed (don't think for one second you'll be able to sleep after they've started their shifts since the hotel is located exactly - i don't know how to put this - IN THE BUS STOP). NEVER EVER EVER GOING BACK!!!
There difference between old-romantic and filthy-ruin is not at all that subtle. Every picture on their website is A BIG LIE!

From the reviews on this website - I expected a clean and adequate hotel. This was not what was found on arrival. The confirmation from the hotel did indicate that the room we were given was not recently restructured, however there were vast differences from the photos and reviews and the room that we were given. I would not recommend based on the following: 1. Location: The hotel was quite near the train station and not the best neighborhood. It is also on a busy bus route. 2. Cleanliness - The room we were given did not give the appearance of cleanliness. Bedspreads were dingy, carpet appeared dirty, appearance was very old and run down. 3. Bathroom toilet was constantly running - this maybe could have been fixed,but given the other issues - we did not try.

The room size was large enough and the gardens had potential to be be pretty, however again did not appear to be being maintained. I left this hotel and found another very clean and nicely sized room near the Il Duomo for the same price.
