The hotel is oke, but not 4 stars. Friendly staff. Clean hotelrooms. Ask for the gardenside rooms; otherwise you end up accross a noisy entrance/exit of a restaurant. We stayed 11 nights due to our visit to our daugther studiing in Florence. We had the same breakfast every morning, without the real Italian coffee (what a shame). The bar was not welcoming for casual drinks. 2 very old visitor computers were available in a cold cellar room; could do with improvement.

We arrived in Florence without a reservation. (we were winging it through Tuscany). This is not recommended unless you have lots of $$. We found a local travel agency that booked this hotel. we stayed in a two room, two bath suite with living area and kitchenette. very spacious, fairly quiet, but for $240 EUR, a bit on the high side for us. Breakfast was awesome and the free internet was nice, wireless would have been better. they did offer free underground parking which is a big plus in Florence.

I felt this was not up to the same standard of the four star hotels we stayed in in Venice and Rome. There were quite a few 'do not' notices which I found rather off putting. Perfectly comfortable and well placed but a little disappointing in contrast to the other two hotels.

Spent only 89 Euros per night for 2 nights, hotel staff is very friendly, helped us with many questions we had. They used to be a residence, so each room is different. We stayed in 2 different rooms, since we booked hotel only for 1 night first, but then decided to stay extra night in Florence, and same room was already booked by someone else.
First room was really cool - like a 5* - very large, more like two rooms, since there was a wall between bed area and living area. Very clean and fancy.

Second room was simple, more like a 3* room, no slippers offered, very simple shower. But still clean and nice and worth the money.
