Quite dreadful. We had booked in for three nights but our nerve broke after the first appalling night and we ran. The rooms are very small, bare of furniture other than the basics, and gloomy. You have to undress and get into bed one at a time as there simply isn't room for both at once. Clearly the original rooms had been divided in two with hardboard partitions so as to pack in more people, so the night was dominated by the noise of our neighbours. The only positive is its cenral location midway between the railway station and the Duomo. Breakfast was rudimentary and served by a bad tempered old lady who slouched around the room scraping her flipflops across the floor in a way that made Fawlty Towers look quite grand.

I came here for a long weekend with four friends. We each had our own room. Although we paid the same price, some rooms were better than others. MIne was one of the better ones. It faced the street, had two windows, a minibar fridge, and a bathroom with a real bathtub. It could use some updating, but it was fine for a lower priced European hotel. The bar across the street is a bit noisy but it is a city location and to be expected. The staff was friendly. The breakfast was poor. For instance, stale bread, yougurt, canned peaches and stewed prunes, juices. The coffee was pretty bad but drinkable. The lounge area was nice but they have the TV on non-stop for the sake of the staff. All in all, if you just want a very convenient and economical base to see Florence from, it is fine. It is in a great location to see the day market and Duomo.

The rooms are very small and filthy. The breakfast is very simple and without fruit. This was the worst hotel I stayed. I can not understand how someone can recommend this hotel.

Five minute walk from train station and five minute walk to diMedici Chapells. Elevator, free cold breakfast, very helpful staff. OK to leave luggage while waiting for late train. WiFi available in lounge only.
