I stayed at this hotel as part of a package deal. Thankfully. I would have been quite upset if I had paid the full price. The hotel has four stars, however, I doubt it very much. It is more of a three star hotel. For a place that definitely needs renovating, it is quite clean. The rooms were small, however, there were very good amenities e.g. mini bar, toiletries etc. The windows in our room faced the street - a very loud street so I don't think it's possible to sleep with the windows open at night. The elevators stank of the toilet for some reason and we always held our breath when we were in them. The breakfast was good for an Italian hotel. White bread rolls, cheese, eggs, fruits, yoghurt and the coffee was good but came from a machine that served about 10 different types of drinks including hot chocolate. The staff were very friendly. The location is also excellent. One thing that really peeved me was the fact that the city tax had to be paid at the end of the visit (only in cash). €1,00 per hotel star per night, which meant we paid €4,00 per night. A bit unfair seeing that it was basically a three star hotel.
