I stayed in Hotel B&B September 28 because it is close to the airport. In the middle of the night I was being bitten by bedbugs (found one on the sheet and it left a bloody smear when I crushed it) so I asked the desk for a new room. He said he couldn't do anything as the hotel was full. I told him he had to find me another place to stay and he then called another of their hotels down the block and they had a room available. I walked down there alone about midnight, the street was full of prostitutes, but a lot of other people were out, too. I was angry that the desk clerk was completely unconcerned about the bedbugs and was not at all helpful about finding me another room, I had to insist on it before he even called the other hotel. He was also unconcerned about sending a woman alone down the block so late at night, but maybe Italian cities are safe at night. I received no apology from the hotel, the desk clerk, or the clerk at the new hotel, they all seemed completely unconcerned. I would expect an apology and an offer to refund my money. Maybe they have bedbugs a lot and it's no big deal to them?

Also, the wifi doesn't work in the rooms and when I came down to the lobby with my computer I couldn't get it to work there, either, nor could I get the lobby computer to work. When I asked for help the other desk clerk was very rude and spoke to me sharply "I told you to wait..." etc. I finally did get the lobby wifi to work but was not happy about the way I was treated.

I knew this hotel was not in the centre, I was happy to take the bus. Bus 22 runs every 10 mins to the centre and stops outside the service station to the left of the hotel. Buy your ticket BEFORE you get on the bus. We got fined 100 euros for not having a valid ticket.

The rooms in the hotel are large, the towels are nice the sheets and pillows are clean and the breakfast is pretty good value.

The wifi is shocking!!! If you try abs use it in your room it will not work. The signal is strong but the data allowance is so low that your page will time out before it can even connect. The wifi in te lobby is fine, so we (and everyone else) spends their nights in the lobby on the net.

Ac was broken "free" wifi didn't work, overbooked and moved us to a different hotel and our room stunk because of a leak from the ceiling. This place is terrible, please avoid.

B&B Hotel Firenze Aeroporto is very clean and pretty large hotel. One of reception staff was very very helpful and friendly. She spent almost half hour to find the best way to our next destination and to clarify it to us. Room was very clean and modern. Free Internet connection in our room was not working properly, but in other parts of hotel it was OK. Location is not so close to historical center of Florence, but there was one bus line near hotel heading to downtown. Hotel has own free parking.
