Great Hotel, would definately recommend. Rooms are great and restaurant excellent. Just a bit far to the old town, but if you have transport this is a great place to stay

Our idea to choose Novotel Firenze was as follows - arrive by car in the hotel on the outskirts of the city, avoiding the traffic in the center, leave your car at the free parking at the hotel, in both directions use the hotel's shuttle bus to the tourist center of town and ... enjoying our stay in Florence.
This expectations are justified, and to this must be added the hotel's excellent service and rich breakfast, which enjoyed. Cons are few and negligible - the furnishing of the hotel conform exactly to the category and it is located in a remote area that does not offer anything interesting except commercial warehouses and showrooms, etc.
But if your goal is to explore Firenze, not engage in excessive costs hotel, but decent quality and convenience - in this case the Novotel Firenze is a good choice for a short stay during you travel in Italy, so I recomenf it.

Generally speaking the hotel is ok if you consider it for a business trip. I would not suggest if for any pleasure or turistic trip. It is too far away from the city center and the environment around is not really the ideal for relaxing.
The structure and the service is typical Novotel, so it's fair enough. What I find really annoying is the ventilation system that cannot be switched off. The bathroom is also a bit poor.

Stardard Novotel hotel... Nothing to shout about, anyway we were only there for a transit from Swiss to Paris...
