We stayed at Kraft for 4 nights. The location was excellent. Quiet, Central and clean place. All the tourist spots were walking distance. We could walk 2 minutes to the river, 5 minutes to the Ponte Vicchio, 10 minutes to the Duomo and 7 minutes to the Uffizi Museum. Great small delis and restaurants for dinner all around the Hotel. Nice breakfast and value for money. We got free wifi. Their internet prices are the best.

We stayed for 4 nights in mid November and chose in a superoir room with a small balcony, which was at the front of the hotel ( which faced towards the river) The room was adaquate and very clean,although the furniture was a little tired. The breakfast was ok, but offered the least amount of choice of all the hotels we stayed in, during our 20 days in Italy. It was only a relatively short walk along the river to the city and places to eat and explore the city. The main issue we had was the noise in the hotel from the rooms, both above to the sides and below,( we were on the second floor ) you could hear every sound, weather they were talking normally or using the bathroom,( which is not ideal ) we did have to bang on the wall one night as we could not stand it any longer,at 3 am, also we can only assume hotel staff were dragging furniture about on hard floors at 4 am. Ear plugs did help, but could not block out the bumps and scraping sounds. This has to be the noisiest hotel we have ever stayed in. We have stayed in Florence previously and if we did return, we would not choose the Hotel Krarft.

I spent 6 nights here and loved it. The staff was friendly and helpful; the room was small (I was single so understandable) but furnished charmingly and the bathroom was great; breakfasts were abundant and there is a person there at all times to custom make any coffee drink or tea (I saw the review that said coffee from a machine, which is true, but the people could have easily ordered a fresh made cup, as I did every morning); the walk is about 10--15 minutes to the main attractions, but I preferred it, as it is nice to be out of the bustle and be in a quiet area, and walking along the river or through any number of different neighborhoods was a plus. Internet was expensive but available in the room. Unfortunately the roof area was closed while I was there (November). I highly recommend this hotel.

My husband and two friends did the Rail for two weeks. I as a Travel Consultant booked us here. What a beautiful rooftop restaurant. Then on the side street next to it was the older places to eat. Great food. The downside it was a long walk to the shopping.
