No heat in the rooms until 6 p.m.--they are being eco, so you cannot complain about a cooler room when you arrive. Our room smelled nasty, not quite sure what the smell was...but they need to do something about it. The location was excellent--10 minute walk to train station and about a 2 minute walk to the leather market. If you book on-line on the hotel website, you get free wifi. Not all that bad for 45 euro, albeit they REALLY need to do something about the funk smell in the room (ick!) Ask for a room not facing the main street--as there was a lot of traffic noise. Oh, and we could not manage to close the window shutters (they seemed to be stuck)...so, it was rather light in the room when we tried to fall asleep.

You say funky smell in the room and I would LOVE to do something about it.
We ahve done what we could have done: renovated all bathrooms and so all the pipes and drainages BUT I perfectly agree that some days (most likely when there is low pressure and as well when the weather is changing) the city stinks with its sewage system.
We have not understood why only some bathrooms smell and why it is not always the same room that has this problem.
What I know for sure is that this is a general problem of the city, but luckily only during some days.
