No one description can bring out the true disgustingness (new word!) of this place. I did check trip adviser before we booked. We needed a hotel that could accommodate a family in one room and I was assured by the October review by the lady who stayed with her son and his friend. That reassured me it should be at least ok. It is barely fit for hourly stays! We booked for two nights. We arrived late, not late enough to go into shock at the state of the place. We stayed the night and bolted in the morning. Some examples of the conditions are: threadbare carpets with holes, lobby lounges threadbare, lounge kick boards chipped. Obvious dirt and dust everywhere. We booked a room with a double and two singles and got 3 singles and a scungy old fold out single couch with the thinnest sheets - I contemplated sleeping standing. The cupboard was a cut out section the middle of the wall, barely a shirt length and the door to it was damaged chipboard. The bathroom grout was covered in mould, the hot water was Luke warm (middle of winter). You had to get rough with the shower handle to get the water to come out. What purported to be a bar fridge was some dilapidated box plonked on the floor in the corner. The air conditioner/heater rattled and made disconcerting noises. It was only turned on when we got into the room, my children were cold all night. The walls were gouged and chipped throughout. The only positive about the hotel was that I could use their Internet to send an email to Wotif setting out these issues. I sat in their lobby at 11pm typing the email. My experience was further enhanced when I asked for a glass of water and was told they couldn't give me a glass of water but could sell me a bottle of water! In the morning imagine my joy when in the light of day I observed what appeared to be blood spatter on the entry wall in the room and high on the wall in the bathroom - next to the antique hair dryer. In the morning the owner advised me wotif had sent my email to him and he agreed to not charge us for the second night. I attempted to dialogue with him about the issues and he simply waved his hand at me. Enough said!
