We paid 50 euro for an old-fashioned room. Old tyles on the floor with a horrifying old carpet from grannies old days! Small room! The airconditioning doesn't work! There are bugs in the bathroom! Hardly any natural daylight! No wi-fi in 'dependance'! And the reception staff is rediculous! They wanted to charge us 5 nights, where we stayed 2 nights! Don't come here ever!

We arrived at the hotel during a heat wave to discover the air conditioning hadn't worked in some time and no one bothered to let us know. Our room was damp, no proper lighting.
We spent the first of two nights with the window open and insects buzzing in our ears all night. When we complained at the front desk the next morning we were told that the staff are hot too and we should just accept it. The shower in our room had no light so we showered in the dark. The breakfast was very poor and we had to have breakfast elsewhere each day. The internet was free in the basement lounge and they did have a laptop available if you purchased internet time.
I found the hotel priced at a four star rate with one to two star service and rooms.

This was the worst hotel we encountered in 10 days in Italy. Unbeknownst to us, the rooms in the hotel tower are fine, but we were booked into the small suites in the adjacent rooms around the parking lot. These rooms are the worst I have seen in decades of travel - dark, mildewy-smelling caves! We refused to stay in these rooms and it took a call from our tour arranger to the hotel before they would move us into smaller rooms in the main tower... these rooms are fine and typical of a 3-star rating. The city was fully-booked due to a fashion week, so it was a most unhappy arrival into Florence as we sat in the lobby for a couple of hours awaiting resolution to our problem.
Overall, we found that he hotel staff was not overly friendly or helpful and definitely the least helpful of all the hotels we stayed at in Italy.
The hotel is located about a 45-minute walk from downtown Florence. There is bus service available, but we either walked or cabbed. Not a hotel I would recommend.

We’re totally satisfied. The place is quiet . The price is reasonable. The service is OK!
